By adopting, you’re not only welcoming a new companion into your home, but you’re also providing a second chance to a deserving animal and making room at our shelter for another in need. Adoption has a profound impact on both humans and animals, igniting a chain of positive change that touches countless lives.
DOG AND CAT ADOPTIONS – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
***For dogs – SUNDAYS ONLY
***For cats – multiple days, according to the availability of staff or foster homes
For an adoption request and an appointment, you must:
- Review our animals for adoption on Petfinder.
- Read the description of the dog or cat carefully.
- Click the “Ask About…” link in the Petfinder profile.
- Tell us about yourself and why you feel that you could be a good match for this pet. Please include your phone number, your dog or cat experience, whether you live in an apartment or a house, members of the household including pets, and whether you have a fenced-in yard (dogs).
Applicants who provide the requested information and best meet the criteria will be contacted by email or telephone. Please do not call the shelter, we do not have sufficient staff to respond to your questions.
If the match is good, a meeting will be arranged.
